Policy

March 2026Policy submission
EU AI Office: Article 50 Code of Practice
MSC submitted written input to the draft Code of Practice on transparency of AI-generated content in March 2026, proposing a sector-specific supplement to the Article 50(4) deepfake definition. The Commission published the final Code on 10 June 2026, with Article 50 obligations applying from 2 August 2026. The Code is voluntary, and for films and other artistic works it sets a lighter duty to disclose the existence of AI-generated content, for example in end credits.
